Arrange by Views

The Locations module provides five different ways to organize and view your facility's locations. Switch between views using the "Arrange By" tabs at the top of the list:

Locations - Location Hierarchy

Floors View

The default view that organizes locations by their building floor/level. Shows a hierarchical tree: Building → Level → Rooms on that level.

Location Type View

Groups locations by their functional type (e.g., corridors, data halls, electrical rooms, pump houses).

Spaces View

Shows locations organized by space classification. Locations not assigned to a space appear under "No Space."

Zones View

Organizes locations by zone designation. Useful for facilities divided into operational zones (cooling zones, security zones, etc.). Unassigned locations appear under "No Zone."

Groups View

Displays locations organized by custom groups. Locations not assigned to a group appear under "No Group."

💡 TIP: Use different Arrange By views depending on your task. Floors is best for spatial navigation, Location Type helps find all rooms of a certain kind, and Zones is useful for zone-based maintenance scheduling.
