How are Revisions Managed in SiteLine?

Background

Any time a new version of a document is uploaded to SiteLine, the old version will be superseded.

Required User Permissions

Only Facility Administrators can upload Revisions and view superseded versions of Documents.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Documents Homepage.
  2. Click ‘Manage’ in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
  3. Click ‘Documents’.
  4. Navigate to the folder where you’d like to upload your Revision.
  5. Click ‘Add’ and select ‘Upload Files’.
  6. Select the new version of the file you want to upload.
  7. Click ’Upload’.
  8. SiteLine will automatically recognize the file as a Revision, upload it, and display the Revision number next to the title.

Additional Information

The new revision must be uploaded to the same folder destination and have the same title.

The Revision number is not displayed in the Documents Module.

You can view previous versions of a document in ‘Manage Documents’. SiteLine will keep track of the latest 30 versions.
