Object Types

Asset - A physical piece of equipment in your facility (e.g., chillers, air handling units, pumps, generators). Assets are the primary objects you track, maintain, and monitor.

Component - A sub-part or sub-assembly of an asset. Components allow you to track major parts within a larger asset separately (e.g., a compressor within a chiller).

Part - A consumable or replaceable item associated with an asset (e.g., filters, belts, bearings). Parts are tracked for inventory and replacement scheduling.

Meter - A configurable monitoring entity attached to an asset. An asset may have multiple meters, each defining its own acceptable range configured at runtime. Meters capture readings over time to enable trend analysis and predictive maintenance.
