[Permission Levels and Scope](https://info.vueops.com/knowledge/users?hsLang=en#permission-levels-and-scope) # Permission Levels and Scope ## VueOps uses a combination of Scope and Permission Level to control what users can see and do. ### **Scope** Scope defines the breadth of a user's access: - **Facility** — Access to facility-level data (assets, locations, tickets, documents) - **Project** — Access limited to specific project data - **Vendor** — Access limited to vendor-relevant information ### **Permission Levels** Permission levels define what actions a user can perform within their scope: - **Administrator** - Highest level access with complete autonomy in managing the facility - documents, users, assets. - **Collaborator** - Standard access for team members who need to view and contribute to facility data - **Partner Manager** - Extended access for managing partner relationships and broader oversight ![Users - Project Permission and Role](https://info.vueops.com/hs-fs/hubfs/VueOps%20KB%20Article%20Images/Users/Users%20-%20Project%20Permission%20and%20Role.jpg?width=670&height=424&name=Users%20-%20Project%20Permission%20and%20Role.jpg) *The Permission Level mapping dialog showing a user's organization, scope, and assigned role.* **ℹ️ NOTE:** *Permission mappings can be configured at both the organization level and the facility level.
