Types of Work Orders
Standard Work Orders
A standard work order (WO) details a one-time maintenance task, repair, or inspection for a specific asset or location. You can create a standard work order from the Tickets module by selecting Work Order from the Create button dropdown.
Recurring Work Orders
A recurring work order is a work order that repeats on a defined schedule. Recurring work orders are useful for preventive maintenance tasks that need to happen at regular intervals—daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly. They are generated automatically from a Program.
Sub-Work Orders
A sub-work order (SWO) is a child task created under a parent work order. Sub-work orders allow you to break down complex work into smaller, manageable tasks—for example, creating a separate sub-work order for each asset on a production line that needs the same maintenance.
